EMI neuroscience utilises a trance state

Hypnosis is a trance state.or hypnosis is a way of relaxing the mind. Hypnosis in itself is not therapeutic beyond relaxation. However, a trance relaxes the mind so that repressed material locked in the unconscious mind is accessible. The psychotherapeutic approach and the skill of the therapist is paramount to the outcome as is the client’s readiness for change.

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic psychotherapy

 that is applied in a trance state. There are many styles or approaches of Hypnotherapy that may be used.

As a hypnotherapist, psychotherapist and Family Constellations practitioner I found myself looking for more effective ways of working than had been developed so far in counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. My knowledge and research and practice with clients resulted in founding Emotional Mind Integration.

 Hypnosis

Most deeper issues and problems are buried in the unconscious mind. If they were conscious you would be able to sort them out for yourself. This is why counselling or coaching that engage talk-therapy or strategies that engage the conscious mind often require extended periods of time and may have limited outcomes for deep change.

Hypnosis is a state we each go in and out of many times each day. So, we know how to do it and therefore it is a good state to utilise. Each time you day-dream or go back to a memory or visualise a goal, you go into a trance. It’s a natural state. This natural ability to go into a trance is utilised as in this state the mind relaxes. This allows access to the core of the presenting problem and the EMI modality is structured to provide a safe place for self-healing and integration rapidly.
